On July 1, 2025, H. Alan Mooney, P.E., presented Rebecca R. Costigan, P.E. (Chief Engineer, Criterium Engineers Home Office), with the 2024 H. Alan Mooney Award for Distinguished Service.
Starting with her work as a Senior Mechanical Engineer culminating with her current tenure as Chief Engineer of Criterium Engineers, Rebecca has committed herself to making Criterium a leader in the building engineering consulting profession.
In becoming Criterium’s Chief Engineer, Rebecca has demonstrated how succession planning can be well thought out and executed. She has identified how to smoothly move with the successes of the past to the needs of the future.

About the H. Alan Mooney Award for Distinguished Service: Named for Criterium’s founding president, the H. Alan Mooney Award for Distinguished Service is open to any Affiliate Office Owner or Senior Engineer who is a licensed, Professional Engineer who has made a significant contribution to setting the standard for excellence either within their own affiliate Criterium Engineers office, the Criterium Engineers’ organization, or the engineering industry.
