The team at Criterium-Dotson Engineers, based in the Dallas area, were recently awarded the top honor of 2022 Criterium Engineers Office of the Year at a celebration held in Portland, Maine.
David Dotson (P.E., R.S., C.B.I.E.), Criterium-Dotson Engineers president, and his wife Sara, office manager, along with Sebastian Martinez (E.I.T.) engineer, accepted the award on behalf of their McKinney, Texas-based team.
Franchises from across North America recently gathered for the biennial Criterium Engineers conference in Maine, where the Criterium headquarters is based. David Leopold, president of Criterium Engineers, presented the prestigious award at a gala held at the end of the conference.
Leopold presented the award and explained, “There are many factors that go into an office being selected for office of the year honors, including technical, expertise contributions to the organization and growth.”
For one, Leopold noted that David Dotson was one of the first to jump in to test and use new enterprise-wide software platforms that were under development. He also cited David Dotson’s participation as a board officer and vice president of the National Academy of Building Inspection Engineers, a national affinity group of NSPE representing engineers across the country who perform building evaluations.
